Recently China, which is building its own navigation system to match USA GPS, has launched two BeiDou-3 satellites into space through a single carrier rocket. The satellites were launched aboard a Long March-3B carrier rocket from Xichang Satellite Launch Center in the southwestern province of Sichuan, state-run news agency Xinhua said today.
The newly-launched satellites represent the third phase of the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System and This system will provide services for Belt and Road Initiative involved countries, and form a complete global satellite navigation system by 2020, by which time China plans to have more than 30 satellites. If everything goes Perfect according to their plan, China will become the 3rd country in the world after the US and Russia to operate its own navigation system.
